After moving in September of 2013, with the encouragement and support of family and friends, I left my office job and started Cotton Seed. I may be new to owning my own business, but I'm not new to the design world. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Stout with a degree in interior design and have been doing freelance interior design work since graduation. I've been designing and creating pieces since I was old enough to hold a pencil and always knew this is what I wanted to do. It really is my dream job and I feel blessed to have this opportunity. I truly love what I do and want the people I work with to love their homes.
My style is very eclectic. I love mixing different textures and styles to create a unique and comfortable space. I believe in quality over quantity. Being smart about the layout of your home means you will have a very functional and efficient space that makes your day to day life easier. The finishes and furniture pieces selected also need to be able to hold up to wear and tear which is probably one of the reasons I love working with antiques. Your home is a place that's meant to be lived in and well loved. It should be able to survive the day to day routine while still looking great.
Cotton Seed is a residential interior design and unique home furnishings company. We can help with that remodel project including space planning and finish selections or find that perfect statement piece for an empty corner. Check out our portfolio to see just a small sampling of spaces, places, and pieces we have helped to create.
